Local attractions in close proximity to Hampton Court
Hampton Court is centrally situated to the business and leisure hub of East London, South Africa. It is one of the few accommodation establishments where visitors do not need transport to enjoy a wide variety of facilities.
Hampton Court is a four star guest house located on a hill overlooking the East London beachfront. Stroll across the road to enjoy a workout at the local Virgin Active Gym. Across the road you will find Grazia’s Fine Dining and within 500 meters walk you can find La Vida restaurant with it’s breathtaking sea views or, in the other direction, Cafe Neo. The local Spar shop and Tops Liquors are also right next door.
If you want to stretch your legs then the East London International Convention Centre is a kilometer away and the local aquarium and whale watching and dolphin spotting deck are in close proximity. This is an ideal vantage point to watch the ships enter South Africa’s only river port . You may be lucky to see the enormous car carriers enter the harbour to uplift the C Class Mercedes Benzes that are manufactured in this city and exported across the world.
For those of you who are more mobile, you can also enjoy one of SA’s classic surf spots – Nahoon Reef, paddling along one of East London’s rivers, or if you are a keen fisherman, one of East London’s many fishing spots. The Championship East London Golf Course, host to the Africa open is a mere two kilometers away.
Hampton Court is situated approximately 8km from Hemingways Mall, the twelfth largest regional shopping centre in South Africa and approximately 6km from the ever-popular Vincent Park Shopping center. Both offer many retail stores, cinemas and restaurants, with Hemingways Mall offering a casino for your entertainment.
For something slightly different you can arrange a cruise on the Ballyhoo, which offers a cruise in the East London harbour and out to sea, where you can spot dolphins and enjoy a stunning East London sunset. Situated approximately 30km out if East London, on the East Coast Resorts Road, you can find Inkwenkwezi. Known for it’s giant burger challenge on a Wednesday for its recent introduction to an experience called, “Elephant Interaction”. You can also arrange a guided tour through the Game Reserve and Lion park.
For those here on business, Hampton Court is situated approximately 10km from the East London airport. Hampton Court is also close to all major business centres and local amenities.
